Kijani Energy is an emerging sustainable energy company initially focused on the cultivation of Jatropha Curcas and the production of biodiesel. We are currently developing large-scale Jatropha Curcas cultivation operations in Mozambique—through our subsidiary Odeveza S.A. Strategically, Kijani Energy believes that control of the feedstock will be essential to effectively positioning the company at the forefront of the green energy industry over the medium term. During 2009, Kijani Energy will also develop its downstream activities with seed crushing, refining and power generation facilities expected to become operational over the next two-three years.
